About Erica

Work Experience

Erica Bridges has nearly a decade of experience serving in St. Charles County Government. She began her career in the Finance Department under the leadership of Bob Schnur before moving to the Assessor’s Office, where she worked for several years under former County Assessor, Scott Shipman, and now under current County Assessor, Travis Welge.

EDUCATION

Erica earned her Master of Business Administration from Florida State University and has been a resident of St. Charles County nearly my entire life. She is a proud graduate of Wentzville Holt High School and attended Christian School District, now known as Veritas Christian Academy, in her earlier education.

Community Engagement

Giving back to the community is important to Erica – She is actively involved in her local church, Element Church in Wentzville. She is also a member of the Vision St. Charles County Leadership Class of 2026, and an active member of the St. Louis regional chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO).

What will Erica bring to the Collector’s Office?

Implement modern software to streamline services including Senior Tax Relief applications and property tax payments to eliminate unnecessary delays

Proactively educate citizens on legislation that impacts the Collector’s Office and their tax obligations

Ensure adequate staffing during peak seasons to reduce phone wait times and improve responsiveness to taxpayers

Share insight with lawmakers to help advance practical, responsible tax reform

Strengthen collaboration with other County departments and leadership to provide more efficient, coordinated service

Lead with transparency, efficiency, and a service-first mindset that puts the people of St. Charles County first
